ABOUT US
In 1995 the founder's Uncle died from an AIDS-related illness. Even though he was not alone at that time, there are many people living with HIV/AIDS who are and continue to be. With this thought in mind, The Founder set up HIVISION in order to prevent people having to face the illnesses of HIV and AIDS alone.
HIVISION has a mission to continue to raise awareness for HIV and AIDS. It aims to help people with HIV and AIDS live healthy lives, not just physically but, most importantly, mentally.
Sadly, many continue to battle alone with the illnesses, so HIVISION aims to give sufferers a chance to meet others and enable them to build new friendships by offering day excursions, confidential and unbiased support.
A MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDER
As Founder I take an active role in HIVISION continuingly taking great strides in the work my colleagues and I do to make our HIV/AIDS communities better, by providing useful information and support where needed.
Hivision's Committe members, Volunteers and Supporters have clearly demonstrated they are a highly motivated team, with clear goals and objectives that without a doubt make Hivision the most unique, progressive HIV/AIDS organisation in the UK. I find it really inspiring and exciting that HIVISION has ambitious goals investing the best that we have in providing the same help for the families, carers and friends of anyone living with HIV/AIDS.
The main highlights for me and my fellow colleagues have been the activities and events that have taken me into the heart of communities, meeting the people who dedicate their time to help those living with HIV/AIDS.
